Hello, I’m Prof. D. Boose. I teach Black Studies with a historical lens.

I have an undergraduate degree in African American Studies from the UNC at Chapel Hill, a Masters degree from Cornell University in Africana Studies, and a PhD from American University, where I studied African American History and Public History.

I care about nurturing a knowledgable, artful, and humane world, as it’s the only kind of world survivable—or worthwhile for humans.

I live in Black. I teach in Black.
